Cynthia "Cindy" Maresh Herrin, 74, of Needville, TX, passed away, February 12, 2026. She was born July 11, 1951, in Richmond, TX, to Emil Maresh Jr. and Gladys Graeber Maresh.

Everyone knew Cindy as Big Momma. She enjoyed spending her time with her friends as an avid APA league pool player and league manager. When she was not doing that, she would play cards and spend time with her husband John and friends at Stubby's, other local bars or at someone's home. After retiring from RDT she took on the responsibility of taking care of her sister Bonnie Sue, and she took pride in her family and having her family close. When covid hit in 2020, she quit all activities and stayed close to home due to her health. Although her health got the best of her, that didn't stop her from giving orders to Jason and Sherry. Her favorite time of year was most definitely Christmas when Cindy and Sherry would pull the gumbo pots out to start Christmas eve dinner.

Cynthia "Big Momma" was preceded in death by her husband John Richard Herrin, her son Clinton James Vacek, father Emil Maresh Jr., mother Gladys Graeber Maresh, sister Bonnie Sue Maresh, & brother Ronnie Maresh.

Cynthia is survived by her son Jason John Herrin and wife Sherry Lynn Herrin, grandson Hayden James Herrin, and grand-daughter Kaitlyn Melchior. Her siblings, Keith Emil Maresh, Carolyn Stains and husband Christopher, Milana Benton and husband Tom, Larry Maresh, Sandra Zacek, Chris Maresh and wife Marie, Connie Hesse and husband Dennis, Terry Drake, and Kem Charles Maresh and wife Sandy, sister-in-law Dorothy Maresh, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be at Immanuel Evangelical Church, 9018 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2026, at 9 AM with the Funeral Service at 10 AM. There will be a procession to the Graveside Service at Immanuel Church Cemetery following the service.

The family also invites anyone that would like to join them at Jason and Sherry's home in Needville following the graveside service.
