Clara Wendt Narramore's Obituary
Funeral services for Clara Wendt Narramore, 103, longtime resident of Rosenberg, TX, are set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Rev. Daniel Haas officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.
Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
Clara was born September 16, 1913, in Gay Hill, TX, to Charlie Wendt and Emma Rust Wendt. She died August 6, 2017, in Needville, TX. She worked many years at Etta Mae's Dress Shop in Rosenberg, and then she worked at Mr. Ralph's Dress Shop in Rosenberg until she was 84. She lived an independent life, mowing her own lawn until she was 95 and driving her own car until last year. She was a faithful member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg, and she trusted God to watch over her. Clara enjoyed gardening, especially caring for her beautiful azaleas. She was a very sharp domino player, though she was often accused of making up her own rules. She loved to laugh and play jokes on her family. She loved life, and she loved her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Edwin Loesch, Sr. and then by her husband, Floyd Narramore; son-in-law, Bill Skinner, Sr; grandson, Bill Skinner, Jr.; sister, Olga Roesler; and brother, Edwin Wendt. Survivors include her daughter, Florence Loesch Skinner; grandchildren, Sharon (James) Yorek, David (Barbara) Skinner, and Marlise Skinner; great grandchildren: Charles (Kelly) Yorek, Jennifer (Chris) Farmer, Sarah Skinner, Emily Skinner, and Jacob Skinner; great great grandchildren: Reece Yorek and James Yorek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Edwin's children and their families - Delbert, Edgar, Ralph, Rose and Buddy; and Olga's children and their families - Mary, Betty, Patsy, Matt, and Charles; and numerous other relatives.
Memorials may be given in her name to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
