Cindy was born July 15, 1956, to Billy Ray and Louise Cannon in Huntsville, TX. She was called by the angels to come be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2015, after being ill this past year. She fought a long, strong battle with several medical illnesses.

Cindy grew up in Needville, TX, where she attended Needville High School and was a proud mighty blue jay. She participated in twirling, FFA, marching band and the flag team.

Cindy worked for WKM for several years with her beloved father and then went on to work for Gulf Oil, which later became Chevron Texaco, for over 20 years as an operations assistant in the Thompson and Houston offices. She started having health problems in 2005 and elected an early retirement.

Cindy had a love for gardening, decorating and shopping. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during the holidays. She always made sure everyone had a goodie tray. Her greatest joy was being "NANA". Her daughter and grandchildren meant the world to her. Anyone that knew her, knew the grandkids brought so much joy to her life. In 2005, her daughter moved to the same subdivision, right down the street to be closer to her mother. Everyone in the neighborhood grew to know her as "NANA". Cindy had a heart full of gold and was willing to jump in and lend a hand. She made the world a better place. She had four mini dachshunds that were like her other children: Annie, Sassie, Sadie and Maggie. She really enjoyed watching and cheering on her grandbabies at every game and tournament. She was their biggest fan, always motivating and supporting them to do their very best. She was very proud of them for making the decision to play select ball with several different teams. She regretted missing the baseball games when her health started to decline. She was always eager to find out the ending score and how her grandson had played in that game.

She is preceded in death by her father Billy Ray Cannon, and father and mother-in-law, Louis and Sylvia Petrosky. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John W.Petrosky of Needville, TX; her mother Louise Cannon of Riverside, TX; her brother Mark Cannon and wife Sherry of Katy, TX; and sister Roslyn White of Angleton, TX. She is also survived by her only daughter Bridget Hensley and husband Harvey, and grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Danyelle, Jonathan, Jonah and Jaleigh of Needville, TX; her brother-in-laws Carl Petrosky and wife JoAnn, and Louis Petrosky, Jr. and wife Theresa; sister-in-laws Sandy Cernoch and husband Byron, and Judy Hajdik and husband Nick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy is also survived by her one special friend, Emma Kujawa, of Rosenberg, TX.

Checks are made payable to the NISD-Activity Fund, Memo: The Petrosky Memorial Bluejay Baseball Fund.
