Obituary

Christopher Lowell Pustejovsky, age 43, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, also at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at West Gethsemane on Highway 36 in Rosenberg.

Chris was born in Houston, Texas, on March 27, 1971. He graduated from William P. Clements High School where he played football and baseball. He continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science from University of Houston. After graduating from College, he worked for several years as a Recreational Therapist at TDCJ in Richmond. During that time, he married Becky Slawinski on September 30, 1995. On June 29, 1996, he was blessed to become the father of Jacob. He shared his love of baseball with Jacob from the moment he was born! A few years later, he went on to a career as a Chemical Analyst at Nalco in Sugar Land, where he worked for 16 years. On December 5, 2000, Chris and Becky welcomed their daughter, Emma, into the world. Their family complete, Chris and Becky watched their children grow and become the wonderful teenagers they are today.

Throughout the years, Chris continued to share his love of sports with both of his children, and the many kids that he coached while he worked with both Jacob and Emma. He could often be seen pacing the backstop while Jacob pitched as he moved throughout Lamar Little League and Foster High School. If not at the baseball field, he was with Emma as she danced in dance competitions and recitals, and then as she played at both school and club volleyball games. Chris' love of his children showed in everything that he did.

A wonderful husband and a loving father, Chris is survived by his wife of 18 years, Becky Slawinski Pustejovsky and his two children, Jacob and Emma. He is also survived by his father, Alfred Pustejovsky, his sister, Michelle Villareal, his brother-in-law, Joe Slawinski, his nieces and nephew, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Gardemal Pustejovsky.

The family of Chris wishes to thank the many friends and family that have shown their support throughout this difficult time.
