Charles Frederick Forst, Jr, 95 of Beasley, TX peacefully passed, surrounded by family on 05/22/2021, after a recent diagnosis of cancer.

Charlie was born in Mt. Hope, WVA to Charles F. Forst, Sr and Doris Evangeline Lily on June 13, 1925.

Charlie lived a full and adventurous life with more friends than you could count, because he never met a stranger. He was a "Jack of all trades", a Merchant Marine in WWII, owned a pizza shop, built pole barns, poured concrete, and worked the Central MO Regional Fair in Rolla, MO, where he became known as "The Popcorn Man". In the late 70s he began working at the First United Methodist Church in Rolla as the Building Maintenance man, he became involved in lots of Missions programs through his relationship with the church and retired to serve God's people. Charlie loved doing the 1,000 mile walk, volunteering with the Methodist Outreach programs such as Festival of Sharing, serving for Habitat for Humanity, Heifer Project International, ECHO Hope Against Hunger and many other organizations. Charlie spent nearly 30 years serving in the US, Guatemala, Zaire, Haiti, Kenya and Tanzania, building homes, water wells and gardens to help others live a more sustainable life.

Charlie was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Jo Forst (JJ or Jaye), his father and mother, 3 brothers Bill, Ramon and Connie, and sister Margaret. He is survived by daughter Jacquie Cooper and husband Jason of TX, grandson Willis Tyler Horning of MD, granddaughter Kendall Nichole Cooper of TX, brother Wally of VA and many nieces and nephews.

Upon Charlie's wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation "in honor and memory of Charlie Forst" to:
