Carl Wayne Burke, of Needville, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, after a decade long struggle with dementia.  He was on hospice care at his home in Needville and surrounded by family when he passed.

Carl was born in Waco, Texas, on December 22, 1942, to John Carl and Mary Helen Burke.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Sue Burke; sons Jonathan David Burke, wife Christina, and Joseph Nathanial Burke; and daughter Danielle Renee Barney, husband Bob. He is also survived by his cherished and greatly loved grandchildren Madalynn, Aaron, and Evan Burke, Eden, Samuel, and Benjamin Barney, and Logan Wyatt Burke.  He was very proud of his grandchildren. Carl is also survived by his sister Doris Hoglund and brother Jeffery Burke. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Burke, and sister Wanda Formby.

Carl was a beloved husband and father, devoted son, brother, and uncle. He was a man of few words, but always a man of his word.  As a Jack-of-all-trades, anyone who knew him never had need of a repair man. He could fix just about anything or would stay at it until he figured out how to fix it. He was dependable, faithful, and constant. He was a man of God and lived his life in a way that impacted everyone he knew with God's love. He will always be remembered for his work ethic, generosity, and quirky sense of humor.

He will truly be missed, but he is no longer suffering.  For that, his entire family is immensely grateful.

Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Grace Community Church, 12616 Hwy 36, Needville, TX 77461 , for one hour preceding the funeral service.

The Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM at the church with Pastor Bo Magehee officiating,. Burial will follow in Needville Public Cemetery, Needville, TX 77481.

Memorials may be given in his memory to Grace Community Fellowship, 12616 Hwy 36, Needville, TX 77461 .
