Calvin Max Band's Obituary
Funeral services for Calvin Max Band, 85, of Rosenberg, TX, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Rosenberg, 1127 Third Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Garmany and Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
Calvin was born November 29, 1931, in Rosenberg, TX, and passed away April 17, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land, TX, as his loving son and daughter-in-law held his hands expressing the family's love.
Calvin married Madeline Hausler on October 4, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 2005. He is survived by his sons, Gary Band of Richmond, TX, Mark Band and wife, Connie, of Rosenberg, TX, granddaughter, Erin Band, and step grandchildren, Laney and Daegen Fowler.
Calvin is also survived by his devoted sister, Leona Band Hausler of Rosenberg, TX, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Troy Freund, Kathryn Le Blanc, Robert Hausler, Tim and Pat Hausler, Larry and Connie Hausler, Calvin's companion, Evelyn Orsak, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Betty Band, and parents-in-law, William C. and Ellen Hausler, his brother, Gilbert and wife, Mary Band, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Freund, Billy Wayne Hausler, Tommy and Darlene Merritt, Clifford Hausler, Frances Hausler, and Melvin Le Blanc.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Hausler, Byron Hausler, Stephen Band, Joe Hubenak, Wayne Schramme, and Jimmy Stegemiller. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Band, Terry Raska, and Del Hyatt.
Special appreciation is expressed to the compassionate staff at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land and at Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land for Calvin's care.
For those wishing, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Rosenberg Memorial Fund, 1106 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
