The world's best Oma passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4th, at the age of 65.

Bonnie Kay was born in La Grange, TX on August 6th, 1952 to Rudolph (Shorty) and Pearl Wittich Schwenke. She is preceded in death by her father Rudolph. She is survived by her mother Pearl; her brother Mark and his wife Robin; daughter Amber Lewis, husband Mike, and their children Evan, Cade, Beck, and Renn; daughter Deena Torres, husband Ray, and their children Hadley and Liam; special companion Tim Biel; former husband and dear friends Ronnie Kaminski and wife Yvonne, as well as multiple cousins and cherished relatives.

After graduating from Lamar Consolidated in Rosenberg, Bonnie began a twenty-one-year career in the banking industry. She made a career change in 1992 and spent the next twenty-five years in the sugar industry. Bonnie loved her job as Transportation Manager and dearly loved her Michigan Sugar family.

Bonnie liked to work in her yard and redo old furniture. She loved music, especially old country, polkas and waltzes. And oh, how she loved to dance.

Bonnie's family was her number one priority. Her six grandchildren were her pride and joy and brought her so much happiness. They were the loves of her life. She was an inspiration to everyone, a strong person who knew what she wanted, and a true blessing to all who knew her.

Donations in Bonnie's honor can be made to the Women's Guild or Family Ministry at St. John's United Church of Christ, located at 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
