Bobby Joe Love, cherished brother and friend, was born on December 31, 1940, and died on January 31, 2017. A longtime Richmond-Texas resident, he graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School and Sam Houston State University with an accounting degree. Bobby was baptized in the First Baptist Church, Richmond, TX. Bobby worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years, and he proudly served his country in the Marine Corps.


Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and "Sam" Love, and by two brothers, Emmett Love and J.L. Love.


Bobby is survived by five sisters, Maudine Brubaker (Pattison, TX), Oleta Thompson (Richmond, TX), Eulein Walger (Rosenberg, TX), Shirley Prewett (Pattison, TX), and Betty Jean Rosprim (Houston, TX). Besides his family, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends are left to remember him.


Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Monday, February 6, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.


A private graveside service will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017.


Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to First Baptist Church of Richmond, 502 S 5th Street, Richmond, TX 77469.
