Funeral services for Bobbie Nell Johnson Reinke, 90, of Richmond, TX, are set for 3:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Rev. Harvey Abke officiating. Visitation will be 1 - 3:00 PM Saturday for two hours preceding the funeral service. A private burial will be held.
She was born Bobbie Nell Johnson on May 23, 1924, in Hattiesburg, MS, to Charles Ripley (C.R.) Johnson and Zelma Cox Johnson. She died May 27, 2014, in Richmond, TX. On September 3, 1944, she married Isadore Reinke. They operated The Terrace Grocery, a small grocery store in Richmond on the corner of Thompson Road and Austin Street. For a few years in the 1960's, Bobbie worked at Cook's Cleaners in Rosenberg, until she took a job in Houston managing a Pilgrim Cleaners substation for 16 1/2 years, before retiring in 1986.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 56 years before his death, Isadore Reinke; brother, Charles R. Johnson; and three sons, Martin B. Reinke, Gerald Lewis Reinke, and David Allen Reinke.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Havel and husband, Bill; daughters-in-law, Debbie Reinke and Gwen Johnson and husband, John; grand daughters, Traci Smith and husband, Billy, Faith Coulter and husband, Michael, Amy Free and husband, Chris, and Mary A. Simicek and husband, Ronnie; grandsons, Travis Reinke and wife, Allison, Steven Reinke and wife, Lan, and Matt Reinke; great grandchildren, Harley, Ashley, Zach, and Garrett Smith, and Mason and Hudson Reinke, Cassidy, Riley, and Marshall Free, Makinzy, Bethany, and Jeremy Coulter, Enoch Reinke, Mellie and L.J. Simicek, and another Coulter great grandchild expected soon; sisters, Jean Porter and Dot Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
