Funeral services for Bernice Frances Petrosky, 77, of Guy, TX, are set for 10 AM Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Needville United Methodist Church, 8602 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461, with Rev. Pam Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX 77471.


Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2015, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.


Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers: Jason Sralla, Justin Petrosky, Daniel McConnell, Jon McKinnon, Brandon Petrosky, John Moses, Jarod Moses, David Petrosky, and Dillon Petrosky.


She was born Bernice Frances Schonert on March 14, 1937, in Fairchilds, TX, to Ervin Schonert and Annie Miller Schonert. She died December 30, 2014, in Sugar Land, TX. On June 25, 1955, she married Felix Petrosky; they were looking forward to celebrating 60 years of marriage this coming year. Bernice was a member of Needville United Methodist Church. She sold Home Interior products for about 20 years. Bernice never met a stranger; she loved visiting with people on the telephone and in person. Her priority was her family, and her greatest joy was caring for them and spending time with them.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Earline Kucera; and brother-in-law, Arnold Kucera.


Survivors include her husband, Felix Petrosky, of Guy, TX; children, Marie (ReeAnn) Petrosky McKinnon and husband, Clayton, of Big Spring, TX, Calvin Gene Petrosky and wife, Monica Zak Petrosky, of East Bernard, TX, Melvin Mark Petrosky and wife, Christine (Tina) Paton Petrosky, of Sugar Land, TX, Janet Lynn Corson of Needville, TX, and Brenda Sue Marsh and husband, Blaine, of Alvin, TX; grandchildren who lovingly called her "Grandma", Julie McKinnon Wright and husband, Shane, of Big Spring, TX, Annie McKinnon of Big Spring, TX, Jon McKinnon and wife, Stevi, of Big Spring, TX, Justin Wayne Petrosky of East Bernard, TX, Brandon Lee Petrosky and wife, Amber, of San Antonio, TX, David Petrosky and Dillon Petrosky, both of Sugar Land, TX, Jason Lee Sralla and wife, Paula (Annie) Harper Sralla, of Danbury, TX, John Roger Moses and Jarod Wayne Moses, both of Needville, TX, Daniel McConnell of Alvin, TX, Donette McConnell Paige and husband, David, of Angleton, TX, and Kelly Ann McConnell Marsh of Alvin, TX; 11 great grandchildren, Bailey Wright, John Brady Wright, Brooks Wright, Story McKinnon, and Journey McKinnon, all of Big Spring, TX, Corbin Lee Sralla of Danbury, TX, Devon Paige, Trent Paige, Alexis Paige, and Erica Paige, all of Angleton, TX, Lee Marsh of Alvin, TX; 3 step great grandchildren, Alexis Harper, Aiden Harper, and Ava Harper, all of Danbury, TX; sisters, Lucille Scott of Spokane, WA, and Peggy Fessenden of Sargent, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
