Funeral services for Bailey Layne Cooper, 17, of Richmond, TX, are set for 10 AM Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Sugar Land Baptist Church, 16755 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77479, with Rev. Neil McClendon and Dr. Donnie Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX 77469.


Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2013, also at Sugar Land Baptist Church.


Bailey was born June 16, 1995, in Houston, TX. She was suddenly taken from us on April 17, 2013, in Richmond, TX. Bailey was a senior at Foster High School, a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, C2 and Captain of the Swim Team. She was a regional qualifier in swim. She received an Academic All American award. She was in PALS and 200 hours plus community service hours. She participated in numerous mission trips. She was a member of Grand Parkway Baptist Church. In her brief life, she touched so many people. Her beautiful face and contagious smile will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.


Survivors include her parents, Gary and Desiree Cooper; brother, Cody Cooper; grandmother, Maureen Hunter; grandparents, Diane and Walt Lenamon; aunts and uncles, Don and Linda Boswell, Cathy Cooper, Debbie Cooper Pearce and Gary M. Pearce, Paul Cooper, SunDown and Lisa Hunter, and Lance and Nicole Hunter; cousins West Hunter, Devlin Hunter and Lindsey Hunter, Lauren Hunter, Wade Hunter, Tyler Hunter, and Riley Hunter, Tres Forester, Kyle Forester, Jacob O'Keefe, Josh O'Keefe, Jeremy Miller, Gary Pearce, Jr., Rex Pearce and Sloane Cooper. Bailey also leaves many friends and church family to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Pete Hunter and Fred Cooper.


Pallbearers are SunDown Hunter, Lance Hunter, West Hunter, Devlin Hunter, Paul Cooper, Tres Forester, Kyle Forester, Gary Pearce, Jr. and Honorary Pallbearer, Rex Pearce.


Memorial Donations may be given in her memory to Make A Wish Foundation, 1604 Bissonnet, Houston, TX 77005.
