"Jack" Heitman
Dec 10, 1934 — Jun 24, 2021
Rosenberg
Jack was born on December 10th, 1934, in Kenney, Texas, to Willie and Hildegarde Heitman. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara, for 58 Glorious years. Their love story was one only written by God. Beautiful, loving, trustworthy and inspiring! They always came together in Christ.
Jack started working at the young age of 8 years old for Schaffer's Pharmacy in Rosenberg. He helped out where he could and was a chauffeur to the Schaffer's and their customers. Jack graduated from Lamar High School in 1954. Ready to take on the world, he joined the Army in 1955. Straight out of the Army, being the businessman he was, he became the top salesman at multiple car dealerships. His highest achievement was with White Pontiac Cadillac in Rosenberg. Jack's dream was always to own a Western and Feed Store. In August of 1978, his dream came true, and he opened The Corral Western Wear in Rosenberg. He always loved riding cutting horses and ranching. He sold tack and feed at The Corral, so his cowboy buddies would have a place to come by to visit and shoot the breeze. The Corral was his most loved accomplishment in his life. Meeting and helping new people daily, always put a huge smile on his face. The Corral will not be the same without him. We all Love him and will miss him tremendously.
Jack is survived by his daughter Janet Meyer and husband Kenny; daughter Suzanne Wood and husband Brian; Grandchildren: Roxanna Reed and husband Ashley, Jenna and husband Dale Tadlock, Colton Smith and wife Hannah and Brandon Wood; Great-grandchildren: Madilyn and Ashton Reed, Paislee and Blesstin Tadlock and Jackson Smith. He is also survived by his brother Willie Heitman and son Tim Wolff.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Heitman; parents, Willie and Hildegard Heitman; son, Jackie Heitman; and brother, Kenneth Heitman.
Our family has been very blessed with the most wonderful caregivers. Susie and David "Johnny" Hernandez. Your love and comfort for Jack was a blessing from God. We can't thank you enough for giving up your lives to help him with his.
