Funeral services for Alberta Jean Mikel Steffen, 74, of Guy, Texas have been set for 10 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471 (281)342-4671. Burial will follow in Guy Public Cemetery, Guy, Texas.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Rosenberg.

She was born October 6, 1943 in Rosenberg, Texas to Ernest and Loney Mikel. She passed away June 22, 2018 in Richmond, Texas.

Alberta had a great love for her grandchildren. She enjoyed riding her 4-wheeler and golf cart; spending time at the beach; and watching her favorite soaps. She was a school secretary for Houston ISD and Stafford for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Otto Steffen; daughters Vicki Stevenson and husband Bruce, Michelle Tait and husband Steve; sisters Loretta Werling and husband Craig, Diana Senna and husband John; brothers Ernest Mikel, Jr. and wife Jackie, A.J. Mikel and wife Dani; grandchildren Megan Stevenson, Nicole Stevenson, Laurel Tait and Mia Tait; sisters-in-law Shirley Horak and husband John, Patsy White and husband Don, Linda Cernosek and husband Mike; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Paul Mikel and Loney Neigebauer Mikel; brother-in-law Roy Steffen and wife Barbara.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Stevenson, Steve Tait, Ernest Mikel, Jr., A.J. Mikel, John Senna and Craig Werling.
